Rambo doesn't actually kill anyone in First Blood (1982), hockey mask Jason Voorhees doesn't appear in Friday the 13th (1980). What other common/iconic movie misconceptions are there?

Everyone knows the Rambo movies for their over the top violence and ridiculous kill count. But John Rambo doesn't actually kill anyone in First Blood (1980). The first Rambo film, while filled with plenty of action, is actually a legit great film with depth and a grounded focus on the treatment of veterans after the Vietnam war.

Similarly, the iconic look everyone knows Jason Voorhees for, doesn't appear in Friday the 13th (1980). In fact, the character is not even the killer and it's nowhere to be seen during most of the movie except for a single scene in the end.

This got me thinking, what other common movie misconceptions are there? What are things we think as iconic in film but were actually quite different than we thought?
