Dane DeHaan: good actor or not?

I have seen him in a few movies and he seems to be either a hit or miss.

I tried watching Valerian a City of a Thousand Planets but had to turn it off. The CGI was nice, really nice but I just couldn't buy into him being this hot shot womaniser. The chemistry between him and Cara Delevingne was nonexistent. Although when I watched a place beyond the pines he was really good. I think he is more suited in quirky eccentric roles in kind of indie movies. What do you guys and girls think?

To the ladies do you think he is a heart-throb?
