I was just blown away by how good was 'The Handmaiden'
Shot straight up to my top 5 of all time (although it evolves easily). Cinematography is mind-blowingly good, world building is top notch, acting is almost perfect (besides maybe the count?), the score is great as well. I'm having troubles finding faults...
Well, mabye the fact that it's not the kind of movie you'll be watching with your step parents, thanks to a few artistically lessbian scenes.
I do love Korean cinema, Oldboy/Memories of Murder being two of my all time classics, but this still floored me.
Trailer is here
ps: for people that never watched it, pay attention to the subtitles colors. There's yellow and white, one for Korean, one for Japanese. It does play a somewhat important role in the movie, depending on which language is use by the protagonist.
