Perfect Blue (1997) is a haunting masterpiece

Just saw this for the first time and was blown away. It’s haunting. I know it inspired Requiem for a Dream, and it stirs up a lot of the same feelings that movie stirred up for me. Something about losing control of your life and your dreams that is so distressing. This movie really hits me.
