What are some movies that should have been amazing, but turned out absolutely horrible?

A post earlier today had me thinking about this. Some utterly terrible movies should have been down right amazing. Great cast, huge production budget, alot of trailer buzz, yet still flopped (or just turned out to be crap movies)

A few that came to mind for me

Prometheus- a big budget prequel to one of the most amazing sci-fi horror films of all time that did an amazing job of making a visually beautiful film, populated by some of the stupidest characters ever to be depicted travelling in space.

Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace - this feels almost cliche but with a huge buzz around the movie, some great actors, and a budget that made the original trilogy look like it was a film school project, we still got a dull movie that's only worth watching for the final lightsaber duel.
