If you liked Venom, give Upgrade a shot.

And vice versa. I think Logan Marshall-Green has sometimes been considered a poor man’s Ton Hardy, but since I saw The Invitation in 2014 he’s stood strong on his own as a solid actor. Venom and Upgrade are both similar in terms of involving a down and out protagonist whose body is taken over by an extraneous force that they can control their bodies and communicate with. Both movies deviate in massive ways beyond the halfway point, but I found them both to be highly enjoyable.
