Black Christmas(1974) doesn't get the respect it deserves in the Horror genre

Saying that a movie is underrated happens enough in r/movies but Black Christmas doesn't get enough recognition even by horror fans. Let name some horror movie tropes that this film popularized before the credited films did. The movie had the "the caller is inside the house" years before When A Stranger Calls. Had the first person killer before Friday The 13th. Was a holiday themed horror film before Halloween. But the film also deserves some recognition on how to it handles the main character Jess. Jess in the film is pregnant is considering a abortion, characters and stories like that are never usually the main focus of a horror film. It's a shame that this movie is pretty forgotten when it should be credited as probably the start of the Slasher genre.
