The count of monte christo(2002)

As much a single I loved the book, I still can't get over how good the movie was even with its romanticised ending. Jim caviesel was exceptional in this playing the part of the vengeful hero and I also thought Guy Pearce was successful in acting as the main antagonist done through his lazy and immoral actions. I just thought it resonated with me and so I've always loved the story in general and what it teaches you to be like.

Edit: Mercédes was fucking hot in the movie ngl
