Is Conan The Barbarian the perfect (or the best) low/mid fantasy movie to this day?

The story and acting holds up greatly to this day, the score is beyond amazing and it is a genuinely strong adventure movie.

Even though it is a basic story about a warrior who is looking for vengeance against an evil wizard, how it presents the side characters to us along with their relationship with each other feels completely natural. Conan and Subotai casually talking about the gods they pray to, Conan's and Valeria's bond, the feeling of eerieness surroundering James Ear Jones and his monologues. Magic is rarely found, and is strong as it should be when it is available which makes seeing the magic scenes more exciting.

Also Mako, he is a wizard mind you, he strikes at you.

Edit: I couldn't recall at first but I cannot forget Max von Sydow's shot but amazing performance as the king.
