Name a movie with a ridiculous premise that turned out to be a genuinely good flick.

I'll go with Cowboys and Aliens. I actually skipped this movie when it came out. Even though I love alien/sci-fi movies and I love old western movies, this premise seemed too outlandish to watch. Don't remember the commercials doing anything to convince me otherwise. A few months after it came out I watched it streaming somewhere and really enjoyed it. Some really nice acting all around, including from some of the minor characters. Premise turned out to be interesting and fun and the moview had a nice flow to it. Now if it's ever on TV when I'm flipping channels I have to stop and watch....and it reminds me not to judge movies by their titles.
