Mystery Men Came Out 15 Years Too Early

I watched Mystery Men over the weekend and was blown away by how relevant it is. I remember seeing it when it was released and thinking it was a really good comedy (it still is), but watching it again after 15 years of superhero movies really shows just how ahead of its time it was. It pulls off a neat trick in both parodying and paying homage to the Superhero genre, in large part thanks to its really great eclectic cast and its ridiculously quotable screenplay.

So for anyone who hasn't seen it, it comes highly recommended
