So I'm watching Maximum Overdrive for about the 30th time . .

I've never understood why it is universally despised, particularly by King himself. The premise is good, the dialogue is good, character development is good, cinematography and soundtrack are Oscar worthy. As mid 80s cult nostalgia movies go I'd put it way ahead of the like of The Goonies, Tremors, hell even Gremlins. Does anyone else feel the same?

Or is there something wrong with me?
