The Lord of the Rings is the best trilogy ever made.

After growing up seeing every movie on release as a kid and watching each movie countless times I casually spent the last few nights revisiting the trilogy since they are on Netflix US and wow. Even after having seen them dozens of times individually and in a row is there really a better trilogy of movies out there ? I mean the source material was magnificent but the adaptation is just brilliant it feels like every casting choice is perfect as well as the way the movies were paced and the story unfolded through all three movies. What an incredible job by Peter Jackson and everyone involved, I’m not sure anything will ever out do it.
