Bong Joon-ho's intention on the sex scene from Parasite [interview]

So I saw this from an interview he did with a Korean film critic magazine called FILO. I remember this sex scene being discussed here a few times, but rarely regarding what Bong's intention was for the scene. Here's my translation of his answer.

When I was writing the script, I considered that as the most necessary scene. This movie, whether the characters intended for it to be or not, is a tragedy arising from peeking into and inserting themselves into other people's private lives.
It's awkward when kids watch even an R-rated movie with their dad, let alone actual sex going on right in front of their nose. The situation is uncomfortable obviously, and this is the turning point for Ki-taek (poor family's father).
This is a guy who had previously said something along the line of, "thanks and prayer to the great Mr. Park", and I saw this sequence as the starting point of Ki-taek's sentimental separation from the Park family. ... This sex scene needed to convey the maximum amount of tension and pressure.
It should not give any feelings of pleasure from watching a sexy movie. I wanted the viewers to feel the pressure of the scene and for the viewers to think, "I just want this scene to end". I wanted the viewers to share the pressure that Ki-taek was feeling. Like suffocation. So I asked Jung Jae-il, my music director, for the music in the scene to have a feeling of a rice cooker building up pressure inside.

This man is incredible.
