Knives Out surpasses Star Wars ROS in daily returns for the first time

Knives Out beat Star Wars ROS by ~3,000 on Monday. Ryan Johnson has to be feeling good today. His movie released a good month before Rise of Skywalker and yet just beat its daily accumulation. Unreal legs on Knives Out. Love/hate Last Jedi (I personally fall in hate) Rian feels vindicated today. Good for him honestly. He made a fun twisting story that appeals to a lot of different folks. I wonder if he ever returns to sci fi? Any way, shows how one decisive film doesn’t sink a director but can hurt a franchise I.e. TLJ and BvS
