Matthew McConaughey is perfectly cast in Interstellar (2014)

His performance as Coop is by no means ground breaking, but I just can't help but feel that he is perfectly cast in this film.

A film like Inception for instance, I honestly think there are several other actors who could have replaced Leonardo DiCaprio as Cobb - but with Interstellar, I can't imagine anyone other than McConaughey.

He's cool as hell in the role, but he's also just so damn endearing too. He's a fine blend of concerned father/endearing/cool/ambitious... I realize he is sort of playing into his stereotype thr same way Brad Pitt has done, but I think it's perfect casting.
