There's currently a scam going around Reddit that involves fake mods PMing users saying they won a raffle. We are not running any raffles, be wary of any PM from throwaway accounts.

Wasn't sure we'd have to address this but we've gotten a few modmails today so it seems the sub is being targeted as other subs have been.

While we have given out prizes for subreddit events before, we would never give prizes for something users didn't consciously enter.

If we were doing some sort of giveaway, I'm the guy who would be doing it and I can tell you we are not doing any right now.

If you get a PM from someone claiming to be a mod or anyone of authority always be cautious. Check the mod list of the sub, message the mods, and generally good advice would be to just never give out any sort of personal information on Reddit.
