What's the most "metal" movie ever made?

Note: that's metal, not mental, although I suppose there's a certain amount of cross-over.

This came up as an off-hand comment in a video about Mandy where they said: "This movie is so metal!"

And it is. Holy hell it is.

So that begs the question: what's the most metal movie ever?

And yes, there's a lot of potential ways to interpret this concept, but let's go with the general idea of the type of intensity that makes you say: "Oh my god that's awesome!"

I'm looking for the absolute glory in pandemonium, the kind of stuff that's designed specifically for really enjoyable extremes.

And I suspect that's the key here: to be metal it must be extreme but still thoroughly enjoyable, even if it's a nightmare. Especially when it's a nightmare.

Bonus points for killer soundtracks.

Oh and no points for picking Heavy Metal 2000. That's cheating.
