I just realized there is a reference to the Architect from Matrix Reloaded in the first 30 minutes of the first Matrix movie

The scene where Neo is captured by agents while trying to get away in his office shows the same televisions as the ones the Architect has in his "room" in part 2.

I guess at this point in part 1 that everything is going according to the Architect's plan. I'm probably not the first person to realize this, but I never realized this particular connection until this weekend when I watched the movies out of order.
