Collateral (2004) is one of the best crime thrillers post 2000 and has one of Tom Cruise's best performances.

It is one of the rare crime thrillers which makes you think quite a few things about your own life. Michael Mann who had directed Heat has done a great job here. He has added much depth to his characters which other directors of crime thrillers often fail to do.

It has really good dialogues and Cruise's last line still makes me sad. The two leads, Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx has delivered brilliant performances but it is definitely Tom who steals the show with his out-of-type role.
