'Just Mercy' trivia: real-life sheriff Thomas Tate, who inspired the film's character by the same name, retired in 2018-- the same year it came out he had pocketed over $100k in funds designated for inmate meals
Remember that recent news flurry on Todd Entrekin, the sheriff who profited .75 million off the controversial budget laws in Alabama prisons?
