Hollywood should let theaters play old movies for a whole year without licensing to drive customers back.

So theaters could have a LOTR night where people get to watch all three movies back to back with breaks between them, or a star wars original trilogy night. Somebody restored the original versions.

The Movie industry is bleeding in a big way so they need a blood transplant, so why not let theaters play old movies in a theater for a year without licensing to give them maximum revenue as a stimulus?

I have a gut feeling that the general public wants to watch the old movies in theaters and not the new stuff.

Perhaps such a stimulus by the industry would help make the public feel that the industry is not out of touch.
