Alien (1979) is still a great horror movie

I saw the OG Alien for the first time recently and it’s soo good. I’ve seen all the sequels and was avoiding watching Alien as I thought since it was made in ‘79 it’d be corny af, but it wasn’t!

There were so many legitimate scary scenes where i jumped (SPOILER: like when the Captain is in the air shaft), and the camera work does a great job making the audience feel how alone Ripley is.

Horror movies are my favorite and i havent seen a great horror in a while so it was really refreshing to see one made so long ago that still can scare someone today.
