A.I ( artificial intelligence) is a goddamn depressing and hopeless movie

I watched this recently and throught the whole movie it left me with such a sense of hopeless. The 'misson' that Jude law's character and the main character go through is truly depressing and you know that there is no soultion.

I heard that Kubrick choose the 'sweet' ending and i for one like it. I think it's a really good film that you can only watch once. Because it is very depressing. What's your though on it?
