Greenland (2020) discussion

The trailer made it look like an average disaster film:

And I assumed it would be kind of silly, like Geostorm or 2012. But I was wrong. The disaster is realistic. The characters in the film behave the way humans actually behave. The military approaches the situation the way you would expect. Morena Baccarin and Roger Dale Floyd (who plays her son, and who was young Danny in Doctor Sleep) are both just phenomenal. And of course Scott Glenn is always a delight. The direction reminded me a bit of World War Z, except the actual threat is way more credible.

I'm a sucker for disaster films, but I'm also pretty picky, so I was surprised and please with how well paced, well acted and well directed this movie is.
