Watchmen (2009) was before its time

I re-watched Watchmen and it has been hanging in my head now since. I was young when I first watched it and it was kind of meh. I watched it now, aged as we both are, and I cannot help but say wow. Hit me in so many different ways, and I never realized just how incredibly well done the majority of the movie is - particularly this scene with Rorschach. Gives me chills.

The Comedian too, both as a character and the actor himself, did an incredible job of capturing the vicious, cynical brutality that is human nature.

I can't help but think about how this movie would have done so much better if it had been released in 2019/2021 (since movies in 2020 are kind of silly with no theaters open).
