Crank 1 and 2 are the closest we will ever get to a Grand Theft Auto movie.

So I just watched the new mortal kombat trailer, which looks really good and promising by the way for a movie that is inspired by a video game, since a lot of movies based on video games usually turn out to be disappointing, while watching the trailer I also wondered why they haven’t came out with a GTA movie yet, then I remembered watching the Crank movies starring Jason Statham, and remembering how similar it is to GTA, I mean in the first movie he gets injected with a poison in which he has to keep his adrenaline pumping to stay alive, which causes him to do a lot of reckless shit such as picking fights with cops, gangsters, and random people, doing lots of hardcore drugs, stealing cars, having sex in public, getting into shootouts, and causing chaos throughout the city, while trying to find the person that injected him with the poison, sounds a lot like a GTA storyline to me, and in the second movie he gets an artificial heart where he has to electrocute himself to stay alive, and does more reckless stuff like in the first movie. I heard some other people the other day talking about if they will ever make a GTA movie, and I just told them to watch Crank since it’s basically similar.
