WARNING TO MEN WITHOUT FATHERS: "About Time" is NOT a cute rom-com to watch for your first Netflix n chill with a girl you just started seeing.

"Oh hey it's a Richard Curtis film," you say, trying to avoid ranting about how Love Actually depicts "love" as something obedient, super hot women should just accept from the befuddled, way-uglier Englishmen that offer it. "It'll be cute." She agrees.

So you snuggle in for some light romance and time travel. This is nice.

Wrong.

Richard pulled a sneaky one on ya. This isn't about romance at all. It's about a dad with terminal cancer using time travel to spend more time with his son before he dies. And you're about to ugly cry REAL hard.
