A movie criticism that people need to stop using

I hate when people say “if you take this character out of the movie, the movie wouldn’t be good”. I see this most commonly used when people say the dark Knight wouldn’t be good without Heath ledger. I honestly think this is the dumbest criticism of a movie ever. Heath ledger is the part of the movie, he’s the antagonist, so ofc the movie wouldn’t be good without it. If you remove a major part of the movie, it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out that the movie wouldn’t be nearly as good.
