Popular songs most people forgot were written for/used to promote movies

Two come to mind;

Bailamos by Enrique Iglesias was used to promote Wild Wild West. Enrique even filmed another video that had footage of the movie in it.

Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion was also originally made for Up Close and Personal. However it has had way more cultural impact than the filmmakers of Up Close and Personal could even dream of.

Stay by Lisa Loeb is also this to Reality Bites-it's been played and referenced more often in the cultural zeitgeist than Reality Bites itself.

You could also say the same for Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now from Mannequin.
