What are your thoughts about the movie Amélie ?

I just watched the movie Amélie and i loved it. What are your thoughts and interpretations about the movies whimsical characters and atmosphere?. this was my first experience of French cinema and i am excited to explore more movies as this movie was a trippy ride . I am going to trasure this experience my whole life XD.
