Who typically plays heros but would be better as a villian?

Or even the other way around. Actors like Matthew McConaughey or Benedict Cumberbatch who in most cases (except in Cumberbatch's case) play the hero but in their occasional villainous roles like Mcconaughey's Dark tower appearance feel more impactful in the opposite sense or Mads Mickelson in star wars as the hero character
