Who, in your opinion, is the single most disrespected character ever to be adapted to the big screen?

Is there a character you loved from any medium be it a novel, comic book, tv show etc. That was adapted to the big screen only to have you feeling let down entirely?

For me, as a huge comic book fan, it has to be any iteration of Marvel’s Dr. Doom that we’ve had on screen so far. One of the most fleshed out, full of depth, interesting characters you could ever wish to be asked to adapt and it’s failed terribly every time.
