Which director has the biggest gap between the high quality of his good movies and the low quality of his bad movies?

Some directors only do awesome movies, some only bad movies not even worth a theater release (not even sure about VHS/DVD/VoD...). But some directors on the other hands have their ups and downs.

I'm considering Joel Schumacher because both his Batmans are crap but he's also directed some great movies like Falling Down, Lost Boys, The Client, Phone Booth

What about you, who do you think of?
