Best acting debut?

I was just watching Primal Fear, which was Edward Norton's acting debut. Just an unbelievable performance, I'm still processing all of it. The movie itself is not overly impressive, but good twists anyway. The acting out of Norton, though is really something else.

That made me wonder, who else would be in the running for best acting debut? I would guess few people get the opportunity for a part like this as their debut, but there must be some others.
