How much are you willing to ignore realism to enjoy a movie?

I recently watched the movie Crawl and enjoyed it for what it was. I didn't mind the unrealistic behavior of the gators. So I went to check out the review thread of the movie and people were talking about how trash of a movie it was because it lacked any realism. I've tend to notice a lot of people nitpick movies for something that is unrealistic.

My question is how much do you ignore when something isn't realistic in a movie? Or do you prefer a movie be totally grounded in realism?
