Can we do away with YouTubers having a spot in documentaries?

After watching all the internet sleuths with no experience in investigating a murder and making outlandish claims in The Vanishing at Cecil Hotel, I was already turned off on this new trope. With the new HBO Max documentary What Happened, Brittany Murphy, it’s clear these people have no place in documentaries. Documentarians need to stop filling time with these people not remotely connected to the case and making ridiculous statements.
