What if Heath Ledger never died and the Joker was included in The Dark Knight Rises?

Assuming he was still alive and locked up after 8 years. Not that I think Bane would have wanted the Joker running around Gotham, messing with the plans of the League of Shadows. I just think it would have been a nice addition toward the second half of the movie. But how would that look like exactly? What could such an ending have been like?
