Why are there so few movies about sea monsters?

Most sea monster movies are about sharks anyways. Why are there no other monster movies? You'd think that with the advances in CGI, there would be a lot more of those. Give me:

1. A Kraken movie sent in Ancient Greece

2. A movie about Sirens either set it the past or in the modern era

3. A movie about a large squid or something similar attacking a modern battleship

Movies set in the past with mythogical sea monsters would be amazing, but I dont think anyone has done that yet
