The movie "Quigley Down Under" always used to make me think it was a sequel or part of a franchise.

To this day, I've still never seen it. I've heard it's good, so maybe one day. But that title always seemed like it was a sequel to something called "Quigley", or that everyone knew about the "Quigley" series of books about a cowboy or something.

Nope. Just a one off movie with no prequel. Like we're all supposed to go "Oh yeah, Quigley. So glad he's down under now. Sounds interesting." Who the fuck is Quigley?

Like that movie "Jeff, Who Lives At Home".
