10 Cloverfield Lane is such a great psychological horror thriller

From the initial onset of the main protagonist's paranoia, John Goodman's performance perfectly capturing the Doomsday prepper persona, the game of charades heightening the tension, the makeshift Hazmat suit made out of a shower curtain and plastic bottles, to the claustrophobic environment of an underground bunker - the human antagonist ends up being more frightening than the extraterrestrial threat revealed at the end of the film.
