Are there any post-post-apocalyptic movies?

I'm really enjoying The Last of Us, and although I love apocalyptic stories, I was wondering if there's ever been a movie that explored what it would be like if humanity tried to rebuild after an apocalyptic period. So the threat to humanity is behind the characters, but now they have to go through the challenges of recreating a cohesive and modern society. Does anything like this exist?
