Willy Wonka's Contempt of Children Makes the Original Funnier as an Adult

Talking about the original film mind you.

When you are a kid you think, 'Wow! Willy Wonka is this fantastical man living in a fantastical world!'.

But when you grow up, live a life, and go back to watch this thing...My god does Mr. Wonka hate these children. He hides it so well though with the quips and double speak. At first I thought he only did it to the parents but no, he actively goes out of his way to tell us he hates everyone. Hell, he hated Charlie too until he finally proved he was the one, redeemable kid in the world!

Obviously, everyone should go out and watch this film again cause it's great and a certified classic. Gene Wilder's acting as a repressed man, simmering with anger but trying to hide it, makes the performance that more memorable.
