Enemy of the State's plot is literally the Patriot Act years before it existed. Incredibly eerie just how accurate it became.

The movie is a very by-the-numbers 90s action thriller starring Will Smith, but that particular plot point is truly insane. In the movie it's about how the evil corrupted government is trying to institute a surveillance act and the good guy they kill is all about how it's against civil liberties.

And then just a few years later 9/11 happened and people were okay with it! The plot of the movie became real and the bad guys succeeded! That's pretty f***ing crazy. How does Hollywood predict those things.
