My brother and I think we named a new trope: "I've Never Met That Corpse In My Life"

We were doing a rewatch of The Mummy trilogy, and the point where Rachel Weisz 'dies' literally had us in tears laughing: her brother is trying to comfort her son about it, but they're doing it right beside her corpse. And the brother is SO unaffected, it's like he's literally never met his beloved sister. It reads more like a nice neighbour trying to console the kid next door about his cat getting eaten.

Then I watched American Fiction last weekend, and the same thing popped up. Nobody in Monk's family seems to care very much that his sister died tragically and suddenly. Like they're all kind of sad, for a scene? Then it moves on. Sister never really comes up again.

Anyway we found it hilarious, and we think it doesn't have an existing trope name. Thoughts? or maybe ideas for a better way to phrase it?
