What dreams may come. One of Robin Williams more dramatic roles. Is there any love for this movie? Or is it mixed.
On a bit of a marathon of rewatching movies from childhood into adulthood. It's more or less to find things to make shorts on. With that being said, Robin Williams, seemed to be an actor most preferred comedic roles over his serious ones.
I do recall watching, What dreams may come, when I was a kid. It was actually a movie my Dad went out and purchased. I never asked what drawn him to it. Don't even have the ability to ask, since he disowned me. But I'm wondering if there's anyone that ever gave it a chance.
For those who's never heard of it. The movie is about the afterlife and it's what me make of it, that defines it. Robin plays a pediatrician named Chris Neilson, who met his soulmate and later had two kids. The kids sadly were killed in a car accident. After four years later, Chris is killed in a car accident. He lingers in the mortal world to only see stating causes more harm than good. He moves on to his idea of Heaven. It is until his wife, can't get passed the pain of losing their children and Chris. She takes her own life. Which sends Chris on a path to rescue his wife from, hell. Which is defined by the pain the person experienced.
Still a beautiful movie with visuals that kinda didn't age well.
