To anyone who wishes Dan Aykroyd was creatively involved with the new Ghostbusters movie, I suggest you watch Blues Brothers 2000
It's not the worst movie in the world, but it's a tired retread of everything that made the first movie fun, funny, fresh, and exciting. And the absence of one of the founding members of the team is sorely felt at all times.

You know, I did watch Blues Brothers 2000. Is it as good as the first one? No, obviously not. But I enjoyed catching up with Elwood, a lot more than I thought I would, considering the movie’s reputation. Some very funny and poignant moments. And you know, if I’m going to defend Ghostbusters, I’m not going to do it by putting Aykroyd down.
