Universal should go ahead with Guillermo del Toro's "At the Mountains of Madness". The Lovecraft mythos would fit right into their plans for a cinematic monster universe.

Looking at the current movies planned for Universal's cinematic movie universe, they have Frankenstein and Creature from the Black Lagoon. If they're willing to go a bit darker and have a few R rated movies, Lovecraft would fit right in.
