Movies with interesting concepts but are let down by the plot?

I just watched In Time. Time becomes the universal currency and everyone has an inbuilt clock. If your timer hits zero you die. Coffee cost 30 minutes and you live with the upper echelons of society you are basically immortal, also you're appearance doesn't age past 20. Great idea but with a boring save the girl story.

I'd also add the first Purge movie too.
