For example, I remember when I was watching Pacific Rim and they were talking about the impressive specs of the Jaegers. Idris Elba goes, 'Pure metal! No alloys!!!' He meant the Jaegers were stronger due to using pure metals, but anyone who's studied basic metallurgy knows alloys are usually stronger than pure metals due to molecular geometry.
